Heat Pumps

Heat pumps are the most efficient form of heating. They have a higher initial purchase price but this is made up for in cheaper running costs, over time they will pay for themselves. Modern heat pumps are quiet and convenient. Heat pumps have the advantage that they can be reversed in summer to provide cooling, they can also filter and purify the air. Heat pumps are the pinnacle of heater development, we can provide a quality unit installed professionally, drop in and find out more.

How a heat pump operates

Heat pumps extract warmth from the outside air using a substance called refrigerant. Even when the outside air is -17 degrees C, it still contains 90% of the heat it contained at 20 degrees C. What makes a heat pump such a clever invention is that it has a reversing valve which can reverse this process in order to cool your home in summer.

The Inverter difference

Conventional air conditioners operate at a fixed speed, delivering a fixed amount of cooling and heating. While trying to maintain a set temperature they operate on the 'stop and start' principle.

An Inverter unit is more advanced technology that operates differently. It works like the accelerator of a car, gently increasing or decreasing power. It reaches the desired temperature quicker and maintains it without wild fluctuations. That means uninterrupted comfort and significant energy savings.

Ducted Systems

Ducted systems provide air conditioned comfort to new and existing homes. The unobtrusive and extremely quiet compressor unit is installed outside the home. The indoor unit is usually located in the ceiling or under the floor with flexible ductwork distributing conditioned air through vents located throughout the house.

Multi Split System

A multi split system can heat or cool from two to seven rooms using one outdoor unit and a combination of different indoor units. Multi split systems are ideal for situations where there is limited space for outdoor units or insufficient under floor or ceiling space for ducting. A multi split system allows individual control in each room. This not only optimises comfort but also saves on running costs, as you only heat or cool the rooms you need.
